SUBCONTRACTING 2016 - summary report
SUBCONTRACTING 2016 – a chance for prospective business contacts
“This is where you can talk to many suppliers and you do not need to travel around the whole country or even Europe for that reason” - this is how the Subcontracting fair and all its accompanying corporate events were summarized by Dariusz Rapeła, Purchase Specialist at Solaris Bus & Coach SA. The event held on June 7-10 was attended by 78 exhibitors from 6 different countries.
The Subcontracting Fair enjoying a growing popularity was held alongside the largest fair for modern industrial technologies – the ITM Poland. Altogether 17,500 professionals visited the exhibitions of both the events.
The fifth subcontracting exhibition was a great opportunity to start cooperation with experienced business partners offering their workforce. This year the Poznań International Fair hosted companies offering metal processing services such as machining, plastic forming, electrochemical machining, welding, cutting, fasteners as well as plastic processing and other services for the industry. While the companies from Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany and Portugal offered their services here, Poznań was visited by lots of guests from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Lithuania, Germany, Norway, Portugal and Slovakia.
This year among the strong points listed by the participants was an interesting and professional offer of subcontractors. The event was a great opportunity to get inspired for new solutions and gain new prospective business partners from all around the world.
- It’s our debut at the Subcontracting Fair in Poznań and we're very happy with our participation in the event, with the attendance and the potential of our clients. We were visited not only by Polish clients, but also those from such countries as France, Switzerland, Germany, Lithuania and Belarus, said Janusz Poulakowski, Director of the Metal Processing Cluster Bureau in Białystok.
- At the fair we are given opportunities to learn about the latest trends and a wide range of services offered by individual suppliers. That, consequently, makes it easier for us to choose the solutions which will help us save money while producing mechanical parts, said Ariel Grabarski, Maintenance Specialist at the Volkswagen Central Garage in Poznań.
The stand of the UTC Aerospace Systems, which is one of the largest suppliers of technologies for the aviation and military industries around the world, enjoyed great popularity. During the fair the company was searching for suppliers specializing in machining. According to the exhibitor, the fair was a great success and it definitely made it possible to extend contacts by new companies which might get engaged in the aviation industry one day.
The international corporate meetings known as the SUBCONTRACTING MEETINGS were another advantage for all the exhibitors as well as visitors. The participants registere themselves at a special platform, specifying their business profile and the type of cooperation they would like to start. That gave a chance to specify the expectations and set meetings with a potential partner-to-be before the fair. The record-breaking 270 corporate business meetings were attended by both 83 parties offering subcontracting services and potential customers. Apart from entrepreneurs from Poland the talks were participated by company representatives from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Lithuania, Germany, Portugal and Slovakia and included representatives of the following: C.TECH France, Faurecia Automotive Poland, Fibar Group , MAN Diesel & Turbo Poland , MICHELIN POLAND, Ruukki Poland, SECO/WARWICK Services, Solaris Bus & Coach , UTC AEROSPACE SYSTEMS, Volkswagen Poznań.
The next edition of the Industrial Subcontracting Exhibition SUBONTRACTING will take place on June 6-9 2017 in Poznań. Next year the exposition will again accompany the industrial technology fair - the ITM Poland. Feel invited!
