Polish Industry in Better Shape Than a Year Ago. New Opportunities for Subcontractors at SUBCONTRACTING 2027

Share

The latest data from Statistics Poland (GUS) provide grounds for cautious optimism. Although businesses continue to face economic challenges, sentiment in Polish industry is more positive than a year ago, while forecasts for price growth suggest that costs may begin to stabilise. Against this backdrop, establishing new business contacts and exploring additional markets are becoming increasingly important. SUBCONTRACTING 2027 will provide an excellent opportunity to pursue these goals. Held on new dates alongside ITM Industry Europe and DREMA, the trade fair will open up additional opportunities for subcontractors to collaborate with the woodworking and furniture industries.

Signs of Improvement in Polish Industry

The latest report by Statistics Poland (GUS), Business Tendency – October 2026, published on 22 October 2026, indicates an improvement in business sentiment year on year. Although business confidence weakened slightly compared with September, business climate indicators across all eight sectors surveyed were higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

In manufacturing, the general business climate indicator stood at -6.6 in October 2026, compared with -8.0 a year earlier. Improvements were also recorded in construction, where the indicator rose from -7.3 to -4.2, and in transportation and storage, where it reached a positive value of +0.7.

These figures show that, despite ongoing challenges, businesses across several sectors assess their economic situation more favourably than a year ago.

Businesses Expect Costs to Stabilise

One of the most encouraging findings of the report concerns businesses' expectations regarding future price developments. In manufacturing, 50.3% of respondents expect the prices of materials, raw materials and services to rise more slowly over the next 12 months than they currently do. A further 30.3% anticipate price stabilisation.

This means that more than 80% of weighted responses in manufacturing point to either price stabilisation or a slowdown in the rate of price increases. For manufacturing companies, this could create more favourable conditions for cost planning, purchasing materials and fulfilling long-term contracts.

At the same time, businesses continue to seek ways to improve efficiency and strengthen their competitiveness. Diversifying customer portfolios, developing technological capabilities and collaborating with reliable business partners are becoming increasingly important.

SUBCONTRACTING 2027 on New Dates. More Opportunities for Subcontractors

SUBCONTRACTING 2027 will take place from 7 to 9 September at the Poznań International Fairgrounds. The three-day event will be held alongside ITM Industry Europe and, for the first time, the DREMA trade fair.

The new dates will create additional opportunities for business networking. Representatives from a wide range of industrial sectors will come together in one location, including machinery manufacturers, technology suppliers, metalworking and plastics processing companies, and businesses operating in the woodworking and furniture industries.

For SUBCONTRACTING exhibitors, this means an opportunity to showcase their manufacturing capabilities to a broader range of potential customers, secure new contracts and establish partnerships beyond their existing areas of activity.

Woodworking and Furniture Industries: New Opportunities for Collaboration

One of the key benefits of the new SUBCONTRACTING schedule is that the event will take place alongside DREMA, a trade fair dedicated to technologies for the woodworking and furniture industries.

These sectors rely on a broad range of subcontracting services, including metalworking, the production of structural components, machine parts, spare parts and industrial automation solutions.

For companies providing such services, participating in SUBCONTRACTING 2027 will offer an opportunity to reach new customers, including manufacturers of woodworking machinery, sawmill equipment and production lines for furniture factories.

Bringing SUBCONTRACTING and DREMA together will enable subcontractors to meet directly with companies seeking reliable manufacturing partners. It will also create opportunities to exchange expertise and develop cooperation across different industrial sectors.

New Prospects for Industry at SUBCONTRACTING 2027

The October data from Statistics Poland show that, despite ongoing challenges, the outlook for Polish industry is more favourable than a year ago. Improved year-on-year business sentiment and expectations of slower price growth provide grounds for cautious optimism.

In these conditions, expanding business networks, exploring new markets and strengthening cross-industry cooperation could become important elements of companies' strategies for 2027.

SUBCONTRACTING, taking place on new dates alongside ITM Industry Europe and DREMA, will provide an opportunity to turn these prospects into tangible business opportunities. Participation in the event will allow subcontractors to showcase their capabilities, gain insight into the needs of new industries and establish business relationships that could develop into long-term partnerships.
